Equipped with a large 7" touch-screen color LCD and intuitive graphical user interface, the CX380 and CX380-D3 can be used under all light conditions. These highly flexible units combine a 1GHz spectrum analyzer with 60dB dynamic range, a forward and return path Digital QAM analyzer, and an MPEG analyzer in a single portable instrument. An array of advanced digital measurements are available on both units, including MER, Pre/Post BER, EVM, HUM, Phase Jitter, Frequency Response, Equalizer taps, In-channel flatness, frequency and symbol rate errors, addressing all testing aspects of standard and high definition CATV signals. An intuitive statistic mode records up to 60 minutes of signal history displaying Level, MER, Pre/Post error rate, and errored seconds and other anomalies in minute or second resolution and intervals. An optional dual band DOCSIS 2.0/3.0 cable modem verifies Internet connectivity and Triple Play services via the RF interface. Comprehensive return path analysis is possible when the built-in Upstream Signal Generator is connected to a CX380 or CX180R monitoring system located at the headend. The new CX380-D3 integrates a certified DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and an advanced spectrum analyzer; technicians can now identify ingress sources with greater dynamic range and perform comprehensive channel bonding. At a weight of less than 2.5 kg/6 lb, the CX380 and CX380-D3 ensures portability, while the smart LiIon battery pack provides 8 hours of autonomy. |

An all-in-one, super-tech installation and maintenance tool for next generation CATV networks. The CX180+ and CX180-D3+ can be used at the headend for return path ingress scan and return path QAM analysis. Enhanced ingress monitoring in both the forward and reverse paths is possible across a 50dB dynamic range. Adjustable resolution bandwidths, measurement dwell times and attenuation provide spectrum analysis capabilities all optimized for CATV signal types and bandwidth. Similar to the CX150+, the CX180+ supports a DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem or an advanced USG - available as hardware options at time of order or as field upgrades. Remote View software option is also available. The new CX180-D3+ offers an integrated dual band DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem to provision 8x4 channel bonding used in high bandwidth DOCSIS 3.0 CATV networks. With the same powerful Signal Level Meter and QAM analyzer functions of the CX180+, advanced users will benefit from the greater sensitivity and lower noise floor of the CX180-D3+ when troubleshooting low level ingress. The CX180-D3+ is also able to perform Return Path QAM analysis complete with constellation diagram, so no upstream impairment is left undetected. |

VePAL CX150+/ CX150-D3+
|
Equipped with the same base feature set as the CX100+, the CX150+ is fitted with a built-in DOCSIS 2.0 compliant cable modem that is capable of linking up with a Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS). With an embedded DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, the new CX150-D3+ supports full upstream and downstream 8x4 channel bonding, IPv6 addressing and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption used in next generation DOCSIS 3.0 networks. Cable modem emulation offered by both units provides valuable statistics pertaining to the upstream and downstream paths and related servers for video, Internet and VoIP traffic. Triple Play services can be verified on either the RF and/or LAN interfaces while the unique pass-through mode provides true modem emulation and Ethernet traffic statistics. The Remote View option allows viewing of the return path monitoring results from a CX180R headend system. Wireless connectivity has been enhanced – field technicians now have the option to upload test results via Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi or 3G UMTS connections (in addition to USB memory stick and FTP capabilities already supported). |

| VePAL CX120+ | Equipped with the same base feature set as the CX100+, the CX120+ boasts the industry’s first Upstream Signal Generator with FEC capabilities as an option. This unique feature is used to characterize the HFC return path for CW, QPSK, QAM16, QAM64, or QAM128 transmission while QAM analysis is made possible when the unit is used in conjunction with the CX180+/CX180-D3+ handheld, CX180R headend monitoring solution, CX350, or CX380. The TDR option pinpoints opens, shorts and other impedance abnormalities quickly. Equipped with the Remote View option, the CX120+ is able to remotely retrieve on-demand return path QAM test results performed at the headend by the CX180R system. |

| VePAL CX110+ |
A next generation CATV installer meter to characterize and measure Analog and Digital video signals. For Analog carriers, Peak Video level, single or dual channel Audio levels and Carrier to Noise (C/N) measurements are possible on NTSC, PAL, or SECAM video formats. Digital QAM16/64/256 carriers with or without deep Interleaving are measured accurately with MER, BER and Constellation diagram results being reported. Tilt, Quick Test, and Forward/Reverse ingress scan are standard features. The built-in Ethernet port supports Triple Play test features, such as VoIP call emulation with MOS scoring, Web-browser, IP connection testing, remote control, test results upload/download, and system management. WiFi connectivity tests can be performed using a USB WiFi adaptor. The CX110+ is equipped with a built-in DOCSIS cable modem, which discovers the upstream frequencies by listening on the downstream channel for Upstream Channel Descriptor (UCD) packets. Once a special message called a map is detected, the cable modem begins to transmit upstream data starting at its lowest power level, incrementing in 3dB steps until the CMTS acknowledges the request. Once detected, the CMTS analyzes the power, frequency and timing of the range request and send the cable modem a response which provides instructions for the modem to adjust its transmit power, frequency and timing to operate properly on the network. The upranging check functionality is very useful for technicians who are only concerned with the RF alignment and synch process when installing cable modems. |

| CX20 | The CX20 Leakage Detector is an affordable accessory and leakage solution for field technicians already equipped with a CX series CATV tester. The unit features a calibrated antenna and sensitive leakage receiver with sophisticated signal processing to discriminate between leaks and noise. A USB communication connection to the CX tester displays the measurement results and also provides power to the leakage detector. Test results can be saved and exported via ReVeal software or uploaded automatically via DOCSIS or 3G/UMTS RF connection. |
|
| CX10/CX10+ | The CX10/CX10+ is a handheld Cable Length Meter that employs Fast-edge Step Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) technology to measure the length of power and telecom cables. The unit is able to measure cable length including the distance to open or short circuit faults up to a range of 2000 meters (6000 feet). |
|
| CX180F | The CX180F is a rackmount monitoring system to check the performance of analog and digital channels being transmitted downstream or toward customers across a CATV HFC network. Equipped with three test ports, key signal parameters including level, BER, MER, and Constellation are scanned continuously and non-intrusively. Advanced spectrum analysis across the entire operating frequency band, detects ingress which can lead to signal impairment and/or failure. The ReVeal CX180F controller/server package which forms an integral part of the system, continuously checks for signal values that exceed user defined thresholds. Out of tolerance parameters trigger alarms which inform and alert the headend operator of problematic links and service. |
|
| CX180R | This rackmount headend system completes the requirement of DOCSIS 3.0 deployment where higher QAM on the return path becomes necessary and mandatory. The compact 1U rackmount chassis supports simultaneous and continuous ingress scanning of all 10 ports at a fast sweep rate of 200ms and dual ports are available for return path spectrum, QAM, MER, BER, and Constellation analysis. The unique system architecture is an affordable entry solution which can be scaled easily for future network expansions. The system is completed by a controller software package offering 3D graphics for detailed analysis of ingress, alarm detection/generation and trouble ticket management. A server option coupled to the system is capable of storing 30 days of ingress monitoring data for reference. |
