The VeEX™ MX product series offer a complete test solution for Metro Ethernet network installation and maintenance. Powerful features such as symmetrical and asymmetrical RFC2544 conformance testing, Multiple independent stream generation, Stacked VLAN (Q-in-Q) and MPLS tagging, and Dual Port Traffic Generation/Analysis are available at 10GBase-R, 1000Base-X and 10/100/1000Base-T test interfaces. Fiber Channel testing at 1Gbps and 2Gbps rates is supported on select models.

VePAL MX100e+ The VePAL MX100e+ is a low-cost version of the widely deployed MX100+ handheld Ethernet product family. The MX100e+ builds on the success of the MX100+, adding new solutions for applications such as ITU Y.1564 and Ethernet OAM testing. V-SAM, the VeEX implementation of the ITU-T Y.1564 Ethernet Service Activation Methodology standard is a highly intuitive and automated test suite that ensures Ethernet traffic with different service attributes being transported across today's mobile backhaul and business Ethernet networks is validated using repeatable pass/fail limits. OAM testing supports new features including IEEE 802.3ah, IEEE 802.1ag, and ITU-T Y.1731 OAM Link and Service protocols developed specifically to provision and troubleshoot Carrier Ethernet networks. Link Level OAM testing includes link partner discovery, remote loopback, MIB retrieval, and link event notifications, while the generation and analysis of Continuity Check, Loopback, and Link trace messages facilitates Service Level OAM test applications. Performance metrics for delay and frame loss are also supported through ITU-T Y.1731 OAM messages. The MX100e+ supports 10/10/1000Base-T, 1000Base-X, and 100Base-FX interfaces. Additionally it supports RFC2544, Multiple Streams, Q-in-Q, MAC and VLAN flooding. With its comprehensive array of test functionalities, the MX100e+ is ideal for field technicians installing, commissioning, and maintaining Carrier Ethernet and Mobile Backhaul networks. MX100e+



VePAL MX300 10GE including optional dual 1GE and 10/100/1000Base-T test ports are housed in the industry’s smallest Metro/Ethernet tester. A high capacity battery pack supports up to three hours of continuous operation at 10GE test interface. The MX300 can be used in any lighting condition thanks to a super bright, 7” TFT color LCD. Advanced Ethernet tests such as RFC2544, Layer 1 to 4 BERT, Throughput, Multi-stream, Q-in-Q, MPLS, VLAN and MAC flooding are supported at all rates. Triple Play testing and verification of VoIP, IPTV, FTP/Web throughput, and Web Browsing services are optional features. Field interchangeable, MSA compliant XFPs and SFPs of various wavelength and dynamic range combinations, provide maximum flexibility. MX300



VePAL MX120+ Fitted with two 10/100/1000Base-T and two 1000Base-X ports, the MX120+ literally doubles and duplicates the test capabilities and features available on the MX100+; however, it also offers several unique capabilities at the same time. Independent configuration and dual port operation of each test port makes bi-directional and in-service traffic monitoring a simple task. Fiber Channel testing at 1 and 2Gbps rates is supported as software options and make use of the same multi-rate Gigabit Ethernet SFP transceivers, thereby reducing costs. The price/performance ratio of the MX120+ is unrivalled in the industry. MX120+



VePAL MX100+ 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000Base-X interface testing supported in one compact, handheld, lightweight unit. An MSA compliant SFP interface supports field inter-changeable SFP transceivers operating at traditional telecom, but also CWDM and DWDM wavelengths. Independent and configurable Multi-streams with MPLS, Q-in-Q, tags truly characterize Triple Play service flows and routing, while MAC flooding is able to stress network devices simulating high traffic conditions. Asymmetric RFC2544, RFC2544, Loopback, Network discovery, VLAN scan and Layer 1, 2, 3, 4 BERT are advanced and valuable capabilities to comprehensively assess the Ethernet network under test. Triple Play service verification is performed using the same advanced feature set integrated into all VePAL platforms, but the MX series is able to validate these applications at WAN and LAN interfaces and bit rates. MLX300 VeEX™ MLX300 Metro Loopback Expert is an intelligent 10GE loopback device developed as a perfect companion to VeEX 10GE testers. Loopback control can be performed in-band over the fiber interface or via the built-in 10/100Base-T Ethernet port via an Internet connection. Field interchangeable XFP transceivers support various wavelengths and power level requirements. Paired with the MX300/TX300 handheld tester, the MLX300 is the industry’s most cost-effective solution for point-to-point Service Level Agreement (SLA) verification and end-to-end performance testing. MPX100 VeEX™ MPX100 Metro Probe Expert is an intelligent probe that can be deployed at any strategic network demarcation point or customer location where network service and performance assurance is critical. The MPX100 is compatible with the MX100+ and MX120+ products, or with another MPX100 device to perform on-demand measurements, loopback control, and in-service monitoring. With the intuitive PC software, multiple MPX100 devices can be remotely controlled to perform back to back testing or collect long-term performance measurement results. MPX100



MC100/MC1000 Media Converters The MC100 and MC1000 are highly compact media converter accessories for use with the MX/TX Ethernet product series or for standalone applications. They are the ideal solution for connectivity from Gigabit switches to Ethernet test equipment, and other devices. Both media converters use Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers which support different fiber types, data rates and distances.
